My Story

I’m Shaneek — proud Jamaican, a delivery leader in tech, and the founder of PMPro Connect. I’ve spent the last decade building a career that, on paper, looks like the version of success many women are taught to chase. The titles. The certifications. The seat at the table.

What I learned is that getting the seat is one thing. Staying yourself in it is another.

I migrated to the U.S. in 2015 and built my way into corporate tech from scratch, often as the only woman of color in the room, decoding cultures that weren’t designed with me in mind. I delivered. I performed. And I quietly wondered how long I could sustain a version of success that required me to leave so much of myself at the door.

Two layoffs and a long look in the mirror later, I stopped performing and started recalibrating.

Today, my work lives in two places.

Through PMPro Connect, I partner with mission-driven organizations and emerging businesses to build the systems, governance, and project delivery infrastructure they need to grow with integrity

Through speaking and thought leadership, I work with early-to-mid career women who are tired of shrinking in rooms that weren’t built for them — giving them the frameworks, truth, and structure to lead without losing themselves.

Different audiences. Same belief: clarity and alignment are not extras. They’re how you build something that lasts.

My mandate is simple. I’m here for the woman who’s doing everything right and still wondering why it doesn’t feel like enough.
